Photo exhibition Genre: Documentary, art, nature Photographer and ACM program’s Young Leader 2014-2015, B. Otgonsuren, is going to organize his independent photo exhibition “… A comma, not a period” from May 8 to 17, 2023, at the Ulaan Ger Gallery of ACM. In the exhibition, historical moments and parts of his travels, work, and living in 21 provinces and more than 200 regions will be shown through documentary, art, and nature photographs. This exhibition by the artist raises problems, maybe a little too confusing and exciting in parts. The Mongolian Art Council is co-organizing the Goethe-Institute’s “Urban Walking” project. The participants of the project were openly announced and selected, and B. Mend-Amar, the young leader of culture and art for 2021–2022, is participating. The project aims to bring the act of walking through the city to the public through a digital platform combined with an aesthetic sense, experience, or narrative. B. Mend-Amar graduated from NUM in 2015 as a computer graphic designer. He compares photos of streets, old buildings, and other old cities in Ulaanbaatar, and studies the city through historical documents, mainly photographs from 1990–2000. Accordingly, Mongolian Visuals co-founded and maintains the social media page. He also works as a co-host of the podcast “Speaking from Ulaanbaatar”. In addition to Ulaanbaatar, the “Urban Walks” project is also being organized in Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Hong Kong in East Asia, and a trip to six cities combining technology and art will be presented on an electronic platform in October 2023.
